End of season results

So we are getting to the end of the rugby season. And unlike previous years, the season will not continue into the spring of 2018. But we are proud of all the Blues that participated and look forward to next fall!

So the final matches...

On Friday, the 13th, no less, the Women's team beat the Calvin College youngsters at home 41 to 39 with Tania Santos taking Goddess of the Pitch. (Even with jet lag after traveling from China the day before!)

Last Saturday, the Lady Blues played WMU in Kalamazoo. Joined with the Lady Blues were two players from GR and some volunteers from the WMU team so they could play a full 15 a side. The Lady Blues took the win again at 47 to 0. Well done, ladies! Would have loved to seen that match.

Unfortunately, the Men's team lost their last game to the Tradesman at home. (I forgot to get the final score!), but they played a good game of rugby. There were some hard calls against them and two of the Blues were out in the sin bin for ten minutes (a lengthy ten minutes, me thinks!)
